  1. What was your first job?

Every person has a first job and the first one is usually the hardest. But it’s also often the one that teaches you the most valuable skills. What job did you do? Did you think you were going to be stuck in that job forever and you were going to hate every moment of it?

  1. What was your first film?

The first film that comes to mind for me is a documentary about the Warsaw Ghetto called Night and Fog. There are a few reasons why this particular movie is so important to me. First, this is the film that made me want to become a filmmaker. Second, it is one of the few films that is still considered “controversial” in the sense that its subject matter is so taboo that it is rarely shown in American movie theaters. Third, for me personally, it was an eye-opening film that showed me the life of another culture in a completely different light.

  1. How did you get into acting?

You might be wondering how I got into acting, and I’m here to tell you. I’ve always been interested in it, from the second I knew what it was. When I was a child, I would dress up and play my mom, and I would always be pretending to do different characters. When I first went to acting school, it felt like my dream. But, like many dreams, it wasn’t to be. I struggled with the craft of acting, was frustrated with the outcome and had to do some soul searching. I knew that I didn’t want to give up and that the world would be a better place with my stories and characters to share. I decided to re-invent my career and become a screenwriter.

I, Rob Garrison, started an online marketing company. I managed to attract a lot of clients and had many successes, but the first time I was recognized was on the day I had my first child. And it’s something I probably wouldn’t have had the courage to do otherwise because my life was already too busy.
