Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and men of the Nigeria Police Force have denied lawmakers entry into the National Assembly by blocking the complex.

The security operatives arrived at the complex at about 6.00am.

It was gathered that the security operatives said they barricaded the National Assembly based on order ”from above.”

In a video posted on Twitter, a member of the House of Representatives, apparently infuriated by the blockade, confronts operatives of the security outfit.

In his reaction, a senator on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ben Murray-Bruce alleged that there was a plot to impeach the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who recently defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the PDP.

Senators loyal to Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu were finally allowed to gain entry into the national assembly complex.
