Jim Iyke, popular Nigerian actor, has been accused of slapping a Dana Air staff at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Monday.
An eyewitness, who narrated the incident, said the actor arrived late at the airport and was due to miss his flight scheduled for Monday afternoon.
He, however, got aggressive during a security check, and slapped the Dana staff, who was identified only as Suleiman.
According to the eyewitness, “The actor was supposed to go on a 12:15pm flight from Lagos to Abuja, but he came late.
“A Dana air staff, Suleiman, was doing a secondary check on him, before he could board, but the actor got aggressive.”
According to sources in the local wing of the airport, the incident let to Iyke being arrested by the Police.
Kingsley Ezenwa, Dana Air’s Media and Communications Manager, who confirmed the incident, said Iyke was released after he apologised to the airline employee.
He eventually boarded another Dana airline flight to Abuja, which was scheduled for 3pm.
